Mil-tek has been manufacturing balers since 1992 and have always proactively acted to improve baler safety standards in this time.
Mil-tek balers are approved by CE, ANSI (American National Standards Institute) and AS/NZ 4024.1, and the organisation is ISO14001 and ISO9001 certified.
In recent years Mil-tek has been a part of a HSE (Health and Safety Executive) committee established to create a new standard for the safe operation of vertical balers. As a result, the CEN (the European Committee for Standardization) has introduced the EN16500:2014 standards, which are designed to protect users through all aspects of the balers' operation.
These standards cover all aspects of operation including the bale chamber, the controls actuators and devices, the bale ejection area, emergency stop mechanisms, noise reduction, manuals, safe operating procedures, labels and any other potential hazards a user could face. The baler has been redesigned to ensure ergonomic and safe use.
In accordance with these new standards Mil-tek has updated its range of balers (models 2102, 2205, 2305, 2306 and 2509) with changes and key improvements.
