Mil-tek Denmark A/S was delighted to welcome Ib Jensen of DNV this week.
As part of our ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certificates, Mil-tek has committed to regular audits of all aspects of business – from production to logistics to inter-departmental operations.
The certification is applicable for the development, assembly, marketing and service of environmentally friendly waste handling equipment including waste presses, balers, compactors and accessories.
ISO 9001 is a recognised quality system that is used today by more than half a million organizations in more than 150 countries. A revision to the standards in 2000 made it easier to implement in a wider range of organisations, and as a result the number of adopters is growing evermore.
ISO 9001 highlights the customer's position, and it creates the preconditions for both maximum customer satisfaction and highest profit. With a focus on customer satisfaction, process control, measurement, continuous improvement and greater commitment from top management, ISO 9001 can be used both in the services and in the manufacturing industries.
Implementation of ISO certification leads to continuous improvement of organizational planning, oversight and management. Implementation of ISO9001 also shows a commitment to continuous quality improvement through the use of an external certification body.
To apply a management system and to pursue continuous improvement ensures benefits like increased product quality, improved process and improved service. It is easy to implement other management systems with other ISO standards. Mil-tek builds upon the existing system so that ISO9001 is integrated into the ISO14001 management system. This reduces the risk of double standards, and it reduces the associated costs of management system maintenance.
Ib’s has become a familiar face in the office and the results of the audit were particularly well received. DNV excel in identifying areas where businesses can improve their operations with some changes, in an overall commitment to quality.
With the assistance of Environmental Consultant Lene Andersen, Mil-tek was delighted to achieve ISO9001 certification earlier this year. Our commitment to quality management system is deeply entrenched in how we operate as a business. In order for us to accurately analyse the waste management and logistical practices of our customers, we need to ensure we as a company optimise our working processes. In short: we practice what we preach!
There are many benefits to ISO9001 certification including:
Mil-tek is on course to achieve ISO14001 recertification next year, which will represent our 9th year under this quality management system.
